Dust Collection
Diversified Industrial Products offers a variety of pollution extraction, elimination and collection systems to keep your processing operations running smoothly including:
Dust & Mist collectors will collect any type of particulate coming off of a manufacturing process. These systems often provide a full range of applications from nuisance dust to extremely heavy dust loads along with bin venting and product reclaim. Mist collectors are used on a wet machining process like a CNC machine, wet grinding machine, or a surface grinder, etc. Mist collections can be classified into oil mist and water mist, water vapor, and a combination of semi synthetic coolants that produce a mist. When we talk about dust collection, we are talking about dry particulates such as metal grinding, polymer grinding, plastic grinding, or saw dust from wood shops, etc.

- Cartridge Collectors
Cartridge collectors utilize a cylindrical, round or oval, pleated cartridge style filter. These filters could be used for dry dust collection, dry grinding, saw dust and things of this nature. These filters can also be used for fume collection which is your welding, plasma cutting, and laser cutting tables. Cartridge collectors are exclusively for dry collection. Cartridge collectors all have an internal cleaning system which allow for continued use while limiting particulate buildup.
Bag House were the predecessors of cartridge collectors and are still in wide use today. These units usually contain a series of round or oval vertical bags. Bag houses are commonly found in foundries. Generally, you can process large volumes of air through a Bag House for lower dollars than through a cartridge collector. Envelope style Bag Houses are also available. An envelope configuration uses a series of horizontal bags that instead of having round tubes. They are actually flat, with filter media on the outside and spacer on the inside to keep the bag from collapsing on itself.
- Cyclone Dust Collectors
Cyclone dust collectors are one of the oldest style dust collectors out on the market today. A cyclone mechanically separates the dust from the airstream by spinning the particulate. If you could see inside of the collector during this process, it resembles a tornado. As the dust reaches the bottom it is ejected out of the air stream into some type of drum or container. A Cyclone dust collector is a very cost effective way to address saw dust and wood chip collection.
- Scrubbers and Wet Dust Collection
Wet Dust Collectors are commonly described as a scrubber although this classification also incorporates collectors that use barrier filtration as well. This system brings a dirty air steam through a water bath which takes the particulate out of the air. Scrubbers are application specific, but Diversified Industrial Products can find the right solutions for your air filtration needs. Barrier filtration is the use of a media designed to accommodate a wet airstream. The media can be high loft fiberglass bags or even pleated cartridge filters.
Industrial Vacuums are heavy duty industrial grade units. Some Industrial Vacuums have an internal cleaning system. These vacuums are affectionately known in the industry as the big brothers to your normal shop vac's.
- Odor Removal
Odor Removal is the direct ventilation of noxious fumes. These systems can use charcoal filters to remove the vapor out of the air stream or can simply vent the odor outside of the building.
- Blowers and Fans
Blowers & fans are always used in the operation of fume and dust collectors. Fans are also used in facilities that want to move air throughout their workspace.
- Modular Duct Systems
Modular Ducting is a system of short lengths of ductwork that are assembled utilizing a clamp that mates rolled flanges from one piece of pipe to another. The modular design helps to ease installation, make duct cleaning and inspection easier and make system modifications more convenient.
